Last time we’ve only mentioned new Xbox 720, and now we have some of its specifications unbounded! Information from official sources, claim that Xbox 720 will be powered by an AMD x86 processor. A negative side to this architecture change, is that “backward compatibility” will not be supported.
The new processor makes a merge of “Jaguar” central processing units and graphics chips, which was mentioned according by one of the sources… A Microsoft representative said: “We do not comment on rumors or speculation. We are always thinking about what is next for our platform, but we don’t have anything further to share at this time.”
Microsoft is still in the process of preparing for the official announcement of Xbox 720 on May 21. Prices of the system itself are: $300 or $500 (basing on the fact if you’re a subscriber or not)
It’s too early to comment about new Xbox 720 in terms of game-play or its performance.. but the prices are very inviting, and should make Xbox 720 a very good selling product in no time… Everyone is excited about new system, and we will get out hands on it quite soon.. Until next time!
