Current Mass Effect developer, BioWare made statement that upcoming title in the franchise will include “new ideas”… “We are starting to get ready to develop another Mass Effect game and it’s going to be a new thing,” – Hudson. “We want to be able to give fans an opportunity to get back into the world with these things you’ve come to know and love about the Mass Effect experience, but start something fresh and new; a new way for you to explore the whole universe in Mass Effect.”
Also, what’s worth mentioning, we’re in possession of official information concerning Mass Effect movie from Hudson, which confirmed it’s current state as “being in production”. More exclusive data, like release date or casting are still not available to public. “Hopefully it should be seen as a good thing,” Hudson comments on Mass Effect the movie. “Because what we’re looking at are, I think, the right things to make sure it’s going to be great. It’s not just going to be a movie. It’s going to be really special.”
“That’s kind of our next thing. We’re focusing on delivering something new, the way we did at the very beginning of Mass Effect,” – Hudson. I don’t mind what you really think of this, but I’m more that sure this will bring a great direction change for the series. In my opinion, developers will try to come back to the times of original Mass Effect, but make it more specialized as a new generation game… This was the most problematic question with Mass Effect 3, when many people claimed it to have completely “missed”, in comparison to previous titles in the franchise.
What’s most interesting is fact, that BioWare is already making works in the area of a “all-new intellectual property”. Obviously there are no concrete information regarding this project, but we can be more than sure, that it’s going to be something “massive”… World awaits patiently until the mystery is solved.
