Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 is a golfing simulation video game in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series published by Electronic Arts. It was released in North America on March 27, 2012, in Australia on March 29, 2012 and in Europe on March 30, 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This is the first version of the game since 2006 not to be released on the Wii.Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 adds some drastically new gameplay features and modes to the long-running series, breathing new life into this great golf sim, but some missteps with annoying microstransaction nonsense and novelty Kinect integration detract and distract from an otherwise great game.

The game doesn’t put its best foot forward in teaching its new mechanics and systems; it hides its tutorial in the career mode, and on the third event instead of putting it right out front and welcoming the player in. The lack of a proper paper manual made it difficult to grasp some of the new controls and mechanics, and the fact that its controls weren’t properly introduced until the third event I participated in left me puzzled. I don’t know why EA didn’t build a proper tutorial section to learn all the new controls and functions introduced this year. There’s a whole section that describes what is new, but it doesn’t let you play it in a practice environment to try everything out. Luckily the learning pains with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 don’t sour the entire experience and they can be overcome with enough trial and error on the courses.

The career mode this year feels like a remix of last year, with players competing in a few events and then tournaments on their way to Augusta and the PGA Tour. It’s still as rewarding as ever to make your own golfer and take them up through the ranks, but it’s not exactly new at this point.

It’s been a few years now without the standout minigames from the mid 2000s Tiger Woods PGA Tour games, and I still sorely miss them. The lack of a target minigame or T-I-G-E-R limits the pick up and play nature of the game. No longer can you just play the game whenever you have the time; now you’ll need to block off larger blocks of time to dedicate to full rounds of golf.

This game was highly praised by both Xbox 360 uk and NYC

Opinion and recommendation:

Overall this game is worth checking, trailers show that the graphics & soundtrack of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 are great. But saying in a critics language, “You could have done better than that “.
